How to repair a eumig projector Written by: WayneC Written on: February 05, There are a number of problems that take place with a Eumig projector. These are typically caused by a burnt-out projection lamp, a dead pilot light-bulb or a worn drive belt. Other issues cause images not to appear over the projector.

Some report the projector not playing film properly or problems with the speed of the projector. Fortunately, you can solve a lot of these issues yourself by replacing dead bulbs or worn belts. Take off the lamp cover. Push the lamp spring down and turn it counter-clockwise.

When the lamp disengages, lift it from the lamp holder. Pull the lamp plug out and insert the new lamp. Plug the lamp plug back in. Raise the spring you previously pushed down. Manoeuvre the new lamp by pushing it in to the centring hole in the socket. Press the lamp spring down again and turn it clockwise. When the spring is engaged, put the lamp cover back in place.

Turn the cap covering the bulb in a counter-clockwise direction. Unhook the current bulb and check the pins on the bottom to see what its bayonet-base looks like. Insert a new 12 volt, 3-watt bulb with the same bayonet-base as the previous bulb. A bayonet-base bulb is a hooked in to place by the pins on the bottom rather than being screwed in.

Put the cap back in place and turn it clockwise to secure it. Set the slow motion knob at a speed of 18 frames per second FPS. The slow motion knob is a large dial found on the front of the projector. It is recognisable by the numbers 0, 3, 6, 9, 12 and 18 surrounding it.

Turn the function switch to the "Stop" setting, then unplug the main power cord. Take off the lamp housing. If it is 60 Hz, place the new drive belt on the outer pulley groove. If it is 50 Hz, place the belt on the inner pulley grove. Put the lamp housing back in place, then put the back cover on. Use a screwdriver to tighten the mounting screws and secure the cover in place. More Articles.
